THE PLASTIC DYNAMIC RESPONSE OF SIMPLY SUPPORTED IMPERFECT BEAM SUBJECTED TO IMPACT

In this paper,the governing dynamic equation for a plastic simply supported imperfect beam subjected to impact is rigorously derived,in which the yield interaction between membrane force and bending moment is taken into account.The effects due to membrane force and imperfection on the deformation and energy dissipation are discussed.
