Study on arbitration mechanism of the modern instrument-oriented multiprocessor system

Modeling process is the core of modern instrument system. Multi-function, multi-parameter, high-performance and high-reliability are directions of it. And the architecture of multiprocessors based on shared bus is an advisable architecture. The article has studied the bus arbitration mechanism of multiprocessor system architecture based on the characteristics of modern instrument. We selected the distributed arbiter and dynamic priority scheme to implement the target bus arbiter. For "adoption subsection- priority" policy and "n-bit self-selection network" circuit, the bus arbiter not only has the characteristic of fairness, rationality, flexibility and extension, but also improves the reliability and real time ability. It will satisfy the degraded operation request of modern medical instrument. The bus arbiter hardware and discusses the implementation of a prototype were studied in detail, and the results are fit for modern medical instrument especially.
