Analytical solution to dissipation of the excess pore pressure in visco-elastic soil surrounding partially permeable tube-pile after installation

The problem of the soil consolidation after tube-pile driving was studied. Mechant model was used for describing visco-elastic feature of the soil. Based on the elastic solutions, the control equation was obtained by using corresponding principle, Laplace transform, elastic parameter replacement and inverse Laplace transform. The permeability of the tube-pile was considered. An analytical solution to excess pore pressure in the soil surrounding tube-pile was obtained by making use of separating variables and solving the characteristic problem. The examples proved that the visco-elastic feature of soil influences dissipation of the pore pressure significantly. Larger viscosity coefficient leads to faster dissipation of the pore pressure. The influence of pile permeability on pore pressure dissipation is striking when permeability of the soil is small.
