Project decision method for evaluating water resources dispatch and allocation in Heihe River basin

In evaluating water resources dispatch and allocation,indexes in Heihe River basin are complex and various,some of them being controversial.To solve the problem,multipurpose project decision method was used to get the entropy weight by means of evaluation in accordance with the rationality of society,economy,ecological environment,resources and efficiency.Analytical hierarchy process method was used to determine the weight of five sub areas of the Heihe River basin.Then comprehensive evaluation was made.The most optimum project was selected from five possible projects,and was verified with a view to promoting sustainable social and economic development and maintaining a good ecological environment.The case shows that the result by using the multipurpose project decision method is credible and is in agreement with reality.This method eliminates the subjective influence owing to its use of entropy weight to evaluate the weight of all the indexes.
