Maximum joint probability fusion rule for multi-resolution decision of structure damage detection

Aiming at the distributed damage detection system of huge complex structure,maximum joint probability(MJP) methodology was proposed for decision fusion associated with many damage detection methods.After analysis the relationship of detection probability between the detection methods and the final detection result,an MJP fusion rule with simple form was deduced based on Bayesian decision theory,and then was generalized for fusion of detection results which were on different precision class such as damage existence,damage location,damage level,based on the hierarchical relationship analysis of damage states obtained by the detection methods.The results of simulations showed that MJP methodology has wide applicability,and can increase the correct probability of the final detection result greatly.The parameter influence laws of MJP method,which indicate the influence of validity probability and number of damage detection methods on the system performance,can provide basis for system design of distributed structure damage detection.
