Double-control criterion of dynamical strength failure for single layer latticed shells

Aiming at the problem of dynamical strength failure of single layer latticed shells under strong dynamical load such as seismic,based on the dissipated energy mechanism of single layer latticed shells,a double-control criterion of dynamical strength failure was constructed by linear combination of maximum displacement and plastic accumulative dissipated energy.The different extent of dynamical strength failure for latticed shells could be judged by the dynamical failure index.Taking a K8,6 single layer latticed shell of 40 m span as example,the structural dynamical strength failure analysis under strong seismic was carried out applying the dynamical failure index,and the data were compared with those of the structural maximum displacement and the proportion of plastic elements. The results show that the double-control criterion and the dynamical failure index are effective for quantificational analysis of the dynamical strength failure of single layer latticed shells,and are more reasonable for the latticed shell with local weakening stiffness.
