Experimental study on influence of multi-stage humidification on semi-dry flue gas desulfurization

A multi-stage humidification experiment was carried out at a 1 500 m3/h scale circulating fluidized bed to study influences of humidification water and circulation ash on SO2 reduction in semi-dry flue gas desulfurization.The humidification water was injected into the system at different injection point with different stages,percentages,and distribution modes.The effect of recycle ash was also investigated with different recycle ratio and moisture humidity ratio.The results indicated that the humidification percentage and ash recycle ratio are critical for SO2 removal.Without ash recycle,the desulfurization efficiency was increased from 86.5% without humidification to 91% with three stages decreasing mode humidification.Ash recycle is profit for SO2 removal,and the system desulfurization efficiency was 95% when mole ratio between Ca and S was 1.54,and ash recycle ratio was 18 without humidification.The system desulfurization efficiency reached 97% with three stages,33% humidification,and 19.16 recycle ratio.
