Deformation of asphalt pavement considering performance degradation of cement-stabilized macadam

Analysis of asphalt pavement under continuous cycle load was carried out with ABAQUS software to study deformational behavior.The performance degradation of cement-stabilized macadam was considered.Drucker-Prager theory and time-based creep law were applied to asphalt constitutive model.Results show that there is no clear correlation between maximum inelastic strain of asphalt layer and modulus of cement-stabilized macadam layer.Asphalt layer,especially the middle course,has a significant impact on rutting.Decline of basement layer modulus can dramatically weaken the rutting-resistance of the pavement and they are in strong nonlinear relation.Deformation of asphalt layer increases and its proportion to total deflection declines while the basement layer modulus reduces.When the road has just opened to traffic,inelastic deformation develops rapidly.Rutting depth reduces significantly by restricting heavy vehicles during this period.
