Characteristics of PM_(2.5) and VOCs emission from chemical fiber industry

Chemical fiber industry in China was discussed by using local emission factors and its VOCs emission inventories were constructed via time,space and sub-sectors,respectively.Both emission characteristics and correlations between particle matter with diameter of less than 2.5μm(PM_(2.5)),VOCs and other factors(NO_x,SO_2,PM_(10),CO and regions,sub-sectors)were presented with the Salford Predictive Miner.Results showed that VOCs emission from chemical fiber industry in China had a rapid rise in recent years.Rayon was recognized as the key VOCs emission source for chemical fiber industries,accounting for more than 60% of total VOCs.For Zhejiang province,NO_x emission reduction played a key role for controlling PM_(2.5)index values.A large amount of low concentrations VOCs emissions should be limited for keeping a small PM_(2.5)index.More attention should be paid on the control of total NO_x emissions amount and VOCs emission concentrations when developing air pollution control measures and policies in chemical fiber industry.
