Britain and Russia Partition Pamir and the Standpoint of Qing government

This paper particularly discusses the course that Britain and Russia Partitioned Pamir in Central Asia by the end of 19th on the basis of Chinese bources and foreign sources published lately. It makes a new examination on the standpoint of Qing government protecting the sovereignty of the land and objecting to the land partitioned by Britain and Russia in Xinjiang China. It not only helps us to Comprehend the true ideas that Britain and Russia contested orbit in Central Asia, and the sovereignty power consciousness of Qing government, but also gives us a realistic meaning to stabilize Xinjiang condition and stick up for the unity of homeland today.
