Application of PBL Combined with Standardized Patient Teaching Model in Clinical Probation in Department of General Surgery

Objective To evaluate efficacy ofapplication of PBL combined with standardized patient(SP)teaching model in clinical probation in department of general surgery.Methods Thirty-seven clinical probationers in department of general surgery were randomly divided into PBL combined with SP group and traditional teaching group.Teaching efficacy was compared by the questionnaire survey and test after teaching.Results In the questionnaire survey,PBL combined with standardized patient teaching group was superior to the traditional teaching group in learning interest,learning initiative,clinical ability training,communication ability and cooperation spirit(P 0.05).The results of history collection,physical examination and case analysis in the PBL combined with standardized patient teaching group were better than those in the traditional teaching group(P 0.05).The score of theory testwas not significant difference in the two groups.Conclusion PBL combined with SP teaching model has more obvious advantages than traditional teaching model.It improves the teaching quality in clinical probation.
