A NOVEL PWM TECHNIQUE IN HIGH-FREQUENCY CONVERTER CONTROLLED BY DIGITAL SYSTEM

One problem with high-frequency PWM converter controlled by digital system is resolution limitation imposed by the hardware timer. In this paper, a novel PWM technique-double PWM(DPWM) is described. DPWM includes advantages of low and high switching frequency conversion, resolves the contradiction between high-frequency and precision in digital control circuits. Theoretic analysis, simulation and experimental results are included to show the performance of DPWM for high-frequency high-precision digitally controlled converter applications.
