Effects of isolation bearing on anti-seismic performance of RC beam bridge

In this paper,the nonlinear dynamic responses of railway bridge equipped with seismic reduction and isolation bearing are analyzed by 2D finite element program.During the analysis,different parameters such as seismic site,intensity,link stiffness of LRB and bridges structure themselves are considered respectively,and the responses of bridge with different bearings are compared with the objective of determining the effect of different factors above on the anti seismic performance of bridge.The results show that the use of isolation bearing improves the anti seismic performance of bridge,and decreases the displacement and internal forces of pier substantially.
