Stress analysis of tower-beam joint of inclined tower cable-stayed bridge with steel-concrete girder

Stress distribution of tower beam joint region of the Liuyanghe bridge is analysed by use of the spatial FEM with the shell,beam and brick element.There are following conclusions according to the analysis: the stress values of the steel girder and the concrete in the joint region meet the prescript of the code; there exists obvious shear lag effect on the deck; creep has an important effect on the distribution of girder's stress; the concrete of the joint region stays compressed status of whole section not only under construction but also under service, and the theoretic analysis and the test result have good agreement on some degree.
