Arbitration agreement and appointment of arbitrators in international maritime arbitration

In order to achieve a fair,speedy and cost-effective result through arbitration process,an arbitration agreement as to how to choose arbitrators and to conduct arbitration proceedings and arbitrators so appointed will be vital.It is also very important that the arbitrators can conduct the arbitration proceedings fairly,impartially and cost-effectively.If the arbitrators fail to act properly,the remedy for the parties is to apply to the courts for removal of the arbitrators.This article will discuss both legal and practical aspects of those issues in England.
