Measurement study of inhalable particulate from new type cement rotary kiln

The emission characteristics inhalable particulate from a typical new type cement rotary kiln was studied by a seven-stage cascade impactor.The total particle concentration and particle size distribution were measured.The emission concentrations from kiln head and kiln tail were 66.87 mg/Nm3and 41.69 mg/Nm3 respectively,which could not meet the requirement of new national standards 2010.According to the calculation,this kiln emited 227 t particulate every year,which included 33.5 t PM2.5 and 113 t PM10.The particle size distributions of particulate from the kiln head and tail both accord with logarithmic normal distribution quite well and the correlation coefficients are higher than 0.99,and the median diameters are 4.4 μm and 6.2 μm respectively.
