Tissue-specific Expression Study on BMP10 Gene of Daheng Chicken

The aim of this study was to detect the impact of BMP10 on chicken muscle growth and development.In this study, real time quantitative PCR was used to compare the expression difference of BMP10 gene in different tissue at different growth stages of Daheng chicken, and drew the growth curve for body weight and weight gain with body weigh from the 1 to 10 weeks of age. The results showed that BMP10 gene expressed in pectoralis muscle, leg muscle and liver tissue at all the three weeks(2, 6 and 10 weeks). The expression of BMP10 mRNA in leg muscle was significantly higher than that of the pectoralis muscle(P0.01) and liver(P0.01) at 6 weeks of age,and the expression in liver was significantly higher than that of the pectoralis(P0.05) and leg muscles(P0.05) at 10 weeks of age.BMP10 shareda similar gene expression pattern in pectoralis and leg muscles, as the expression in both tissues were the highest at 6 weeks of age, the second at 2 weeks of age and the lowest at 10 weeks of age. The expression of BMP10 mRNA in pectoralis muscle at 6 weeks of age was significantly higher than that at 2 weeks of age(P0.05) and 10 weeks of age(P0.01), and the expression in leg muscle at 6 weeks of age was significantly higher than that at 2 weeks of age(P0.01) and 10 weeks of age(P0.01). It was speculated that BMP10 have played an important role in regulating the growth and development of meat chicken after haching.
