Effects of Relative Humidity on Behavior,Physiology and Glucose and Lipid Metabolism of Broiler at Acute Moderate Temperature

The aim of this study was to reveal the influence of relative humidity on behavior, physiology and glucolipid metabolism of broilers at an acute moderate temperature of 23℃. Broilers were raised in the experimental module under the artificial climate. The target sampling method was adopted to statistically record the frequency of moving and resting of target broilers. The skin temperature was analyzed using the infrared thermal imager and FLIR TOOLS. The serum glucose(GLU), total cholesterol(TC) and triglyceride(TG) were detected. The results showed that broilers′ behavioral, physiological and glucolipid indexes at different humilities(35%, 60% and 80%) and 23℃ had different changes. It′s suggested that at the acute moderate thermal temperature of 23℃, the high-humidity(85%) and low-humidity(35%) processing could affect the regulation of body heat in broilers.
