Calculating Rigid of Heavy Cross Wedge Mill by Coupling Method of Boundary Element Method and Finite Element Method

According to the structural peculiarities of heavy cross wedge mill, a new method had been developed, which was a coupling method of 3-D elastic contact boundary element method with multi-bodies and finite element method. By means of the new method, the rigid of H1400 heavy cross wedge mill had been calculated. The new method can update the existing deformation separation calculation theory and corresponding methods of material mechanics, elastic mechanics and finite element method. It has stronger synthesis and less hypotheses in contact-type calculating model. The advantages of the method are of high calculation rate, high calculation accuracy etc..
