Cathode and Its Track Design in NC-Electrochemical Machining Irregular Cavities

In order to solve the difficult problems of how to machine a deep, narrow, irregular and even curved cavity on difficult-to-cut material integral component, a new process of combined electrical machining with digitized manufacturing technology was put forward, that is an organic combination of numerically controlled electrochemical machining (NC-ECM) and numerically controlled electro-discharge machining (NC-EDM). The design of cathode and its tracks which are based on Matlab and UG were discussed, also a series of experiments on the typical integral components of the aerocraft engines and the aerospacecraft engines have been made and it proved to be practical in manufacturing.
