Investigation of Strengthening Characteristics under Low Amplitude Loading for Different Structural Strengthes

In order to investigate the strengthening characteristics under low amplitude loading for different structural strengthes,the strengthening tests of low-strength front axle and high-strength transmission gear were conducted.The S-N curve,the mathematical relationship of bend fatigue strength or life to strengthening loads and strengthening cycles,the maximum increments of fatigue strength and life were obtained by experimental digital processing.With strength increases,the potential for further improving bend fatigue strength declined,while that of bend fatigue life improves.The preliminary reasons of influencing the strengthening under low amplitude loading for different structural strengthes were analyzed macroscopically and microscopically.
