Sequencing for Mixed-model Assembly Line with Consideration of Line Balancing

Line balancing and model sequencing are the tightly interrelated problems in mixed model assembly line.It was assumed that the various operation times of various products on mixed-model assembly were identical and level scheduling was measured by launching timing of production in traditional model.In practice,various operation times of various products were distinct;there never existed perfectly balanced line and evenly launching product might not bring smooth output.In allusion to the shortcomings of traditional model,this paper established level scheduling model considering line balancing and a numerical instance was given.This study overcomes the shortages of traditional model,and it suits to the practical context of problem;this model combines line balancing problem with model sequencing problem together.
