Optimization Analysis of T-shape Tube Hydroforming Process

According to the phenomenon of decreasing tube inner volume in the whole forming process,a new and simple method,called feeding driven THF was employed to make aluminum T shaped part without high pressure pump for pressurization.Experimental and simulation results indi- cate that the method is very suitable for making multi-junction tubular components such as T- shape,Y-shape and X-shape tubular parts in that the loading path is easy to be selected and con- trolled and that the tooling and equipment cost can be substantially reduced.
