Two-dimension Modelling for Material Removal of Magneto-rheological Finishing

According to the rheological characteristics of magneto-rheological fluid in the magnetic field,the Preston equation,the Reynolds equation and its boundary conditions were extended based on fluid kinematical theory.The pressure model and the material removal model in two-dimensional directions were built and analyzed.Finally,the basis experiments of MRF were carried out,and the influences of the immersed depth and material types were studied.The experimental data were compared with the simulation results of material removal model,which confirms validity of the model.
