Research on NURBS Curve Interpolation Algorithm Based on Filtering

An interpolation algorithm was developed for non-uniform rational B-spline curves(NURBS) interpolation while considering machining accuracy,the acceleration/deceleration capability of machine tool and the acceleration varying continuity.This algorithm can adaptively adjust the machining velocity according to change of curvature,while filtering technology were applied to keep acceleration continuity during the whole interpolation process,so it reduces mechanical shock and improves machining precision and machining efficiency.Finally the designed experiments show that the proposed interpolation algorithm can achieve high-speed,high-precision and efficient machining of NURBS curve.
