Coupled Magneto-elastic Model of a Giant Magnetostrictive Transducer for Non-circular Cutting

Keeping work temperature,considering the relation of power,magnetic and mechanical components of the giant magnetostrictive turning system,according to the Jiles-Atherton nonlinear hysteretic model,using the linearization approximate relation between magnetic field and magnetization strength,with the Kelvin-Voigt damping theory and simplified model of cutting force,the coupled magneto-elastic model of the giant magnetostrictive transducer for non-circular cutting was presented.Through analysis on frequency-response relations of the transducer system,the results indicate that the relationship between incentive magnetic field and the output displacement of the system has the same distribution trends of experimental result of the transducer performance.
