Monitoring Method of Cylindrical Plunge Grinding Wheel Wear Based on Time Constant

Based on cylindrical plunge grinding force model,a new algorithm of time constant was proposed by using power signals,and the time constant was used to identify grinding wheel wear status.In order to improve calculation accuracy,grinding power signals in the infeed stage and dwell stage were selected to calculate the time constant.At last,through experiments of different grinding process parameters and different dressing parameters,the validity of monitoring method was proved.
