Study on Reliability Evaluation and Maintenance Policy of Auto Body Multi-station Assembly System

For the degradation process of fixture components in the multi-station assembly system,the reliability evaluation model integrated with the effects of fixture element wear,variations of incoming parts and mating tolerances of locating elements was proposed herein.Furthermore,under the condittion of a given BIW deviation fluctuation threshold,a dynamic maintenance policy for the multi-station fixture components was presented based on the reliability model.At last,a 4-station sheet metal assembly case was used to illustrate the proposed method,which provides an effective tool for the fixture maintenance and dimension quality assurance.
