Wear Mechanism of Cutter for Agricultural Machiner and Behaviour of Carbides in Wear Processes

Wear mechanism on the cutting edge anthe cutting face of cutter for agricultural machinery wearclarified respectively by a large quantity of failure analysis with SEM. It is indicated that the ability to scratchresisting could be improved by the carbides which werejust right amount and morphology and combined firmlywith substrate in the cutting face,but the carbides in thecutting edge would give rise to tipping. In view of above two new heat treatment technologies to change the distributton and morphology of carbides were put forward an some perfect results were gained.
