Evolution Characteristics and Network Co-evolution Mechanism of First-class Disciplines Based on Multiple Case Studies

With the implementation of the "dual first-class project",how to build first-class universities and disciplines has been a hot issue in theory and practice field. On the basis of defining the connotation and standard of the first class discipline,it makes a deep analysis of the domestic and foreign cases,the three evolution characteristics of first-class disciplines are: strategic adaptability leading discipline development,internal resources integration promoting endogenous growth of discipline and external resources integration helping breakthrough growth of discipline. In the development of first-class disciplines,the internal and external knowledge network evolutes progressively,the evolution trend of knowledge network is from point to point,then from point to surface,finally from network to network.
