Progress in Diagnosis of Bovine Tuberculosis

Bovine tuberculosis is a serious zoonotic disease, it not only cause huge losses to the dairy industry, but also closely related to people’s lives and safety. Early diagnosis of tuberculosis is still an important factor in controlling the epidemic. With the rapid development of molecular biology and immunology in recent years, many new improved TB diagnostics are also introduced basis on the original technique. A new culture technique reduces the time of TB bacteriology and drug sensitivity test. The application of molecular biology techniques(eg. PCR) allows for rapid diagnosis possible. Improvement of serological methods and some new technique’s introduction, such as determination of phage, γ-interferon test and so on, have brought new hope to the clinical diagnosis. In this paper, an diagnostic techniques for bovine tuberculosis was reviewed.
