Rheological behaviors of natural collagen solution and the influences of concentration and temperature on the rheological behaviors were studied. The results showe that the elastic modulus(G'),viscous modulus(G″) and complex viscosity(η*) of collagen increase with increase of concentration, especially when collagen with a high concentration. The crossover frequency(f),at which transition from liquid-like to solid-like behaviors took place, shiftes toward lower frequencies with the increase of concentration, which is called pseudo-solid like behaviors.Loss tangent(tanδ) increases with the increase of concentration and gets maximum at 0.75% then decreases. However,G',G″ and η*of collagen all decrease while tanδincrease with an increase of temperature, which is indistinct below 25℃.The crossover f shiftes toward higher frequencies with the increase of temperature, which is called pseudo-liquid like behaviors.G',G″,η* and tanδare irregular and decrease to a very small value at 32.5℃,indicating that the configuration of collagen has changed.
