Design of Dual-workstation and High Efficient NC Cutting Edge Machine for Leather Product

A new type of high efficient NC cutting edge machine was developed. It improves the working efficincy and satisfies the large scale production requirement. Dual-workstation structure was adopted to save load and unload time. The step motors were used to drive spindle and workstation moving. The line moving of the spindle and the circle motion of the workstation formed the horizontal feed motion. A tri-axis NC system was utilized to control the cutting of the two workstations and spindle, thus reduced the production cost. A set of self-developed control software was used to produce cutting tool path. The system substituted the curve paths with the line segments, and improved the interpolation speed. And it can automatically produce machining programs. It shows that the cutting edge machine is reliable, simple operation and the working efficient has been greatly increased.
