The Diagnotic Value of Enhancement Spiral Computed Mograph Scanning for Surrounding Infiltratwn and Metastasis of Esophageal Cancer

Objective:To investigate the clinical diagnostic value of enhancement spiral computed tomogrnph scanning for esophageal cancer. Materials and Methods:A total of 48 cases of esophageal cancer were made the enhancement spiral computed tomograph scanning and plain scanning,and compared with pathologic appearances postoperatively.Results:(1)The general plain scanning was able to make a diagnosis for obvious infiltratnon surrounding the esophagus,and its diagnostic accurate rate was 52%,while for the metabisis of mediastinum lymph node was 72%.(2)The enhancement spiral computed tomograph scanning was able to observe the site,shape and extent of focus of infection,and its diagnostic accurate rate for tubal wall infiltration,tympy node metabasis and distant metaba- sis was 84%,84% and 100% respectively.(3)The software was able to multi-plane re-establish for focue of esophageal infection,and observe the esophageal tumor at diffevent aspect and optimal point of view.Conclusion:The enhancement spivd computed tomo- graph scanning and multi-plane re-establish can reflect more roundly and exature of esophageal tumor,and it is not only one of the most important meens for staging preoperatively of esophageal cancer,but also a reliable method inageology for the diagnosis of mediastinum infilration and metabasis of esophageal cancer.
