SYNGAS CITY" BASED ON POLYGENERATION: SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF COAL MINING CITIES

Coal mining cities in China are facing several challenges now: urgent need to adjust industry structure, serious ecological and environmental problem, severe unemployment, etc. It is a feasible way to realize economic, social, environmental and resources sustainable development in the coal mining cities that "Syngas City" project is to be implemented in the typical cities that are rich in low-price high-sulfur coal, lacking in oil and natural gas, at proper economic level, and in need of industrial structure adjustment. The contents of "Syngas City" research are preliminary discussed in this paper, and the benefit of the implementation of "Syngas City" in Jining, Shandong Province are also discussed as an example.
