Cultivated Land Quantity Change and Its Driving Forces in Jianghan Plain——A Case Study of Xiantao City

HU Xian-hui YANG Gang-qiao(College of Land Management,Huazhong Agricultural University,Wuhan Hubei 430070,China)
Jianghan plain is one of the important commercial productive bases of China for grain products. The cultivated land quantity is very important for the productive of grain. Therefore, the research on the cultivated land quantity change and its driving forces has realistic value. In this paper, in virtue of the statistical analysis system (SAS) , the cultivated land quantity change and its driving forces in Xiantao city from 1990 and 2002 are analyzed. In order to analyze the driving forces, the method of principal analysis is used. Basd on the sustainable theory, countermeasures are put forward.
