GENE INDUCTIVE EXPRESSION OF BIFIDOBACTERIUM ON GLUTATHIONE S-TRANSFERASE IN HT_(29) CELL LINE

The Northern hybridization technique was applied to study the effect of Bifidobacterium on the inductive gene expression of glutathione S-transferase. It has been found that the level of glutathione S-transferase (GSTs) mRNA increases 1 4 fold, 1 3 fold respectively,when HT 29 cells were exposed 2 hours to Bifidobacterium and filtration of fermentation. It was indicated a molecular mechanism of Bifidobacterium antitumor in that GST gene is inductive expression and preventing Xenbiotics nucleophilic attack.
