Objective To evaluate the value of Tumor Specific Grow Factor(TSGF) in diagnosis of digestive malignant tumor and its clinical significance. Methods TSGF in serum was detected by chromatography and TSGF diagnostic kit.The concentration of TSGF was obtained from the standard curve. Results The level of serum TSGF of 400 digestive malignant tumor patients was 71.37±11.24 u/ml,significantly higher than that of control group 59.75±4.45 u/ml(P0.01).The positive rate was 79.80%.Out of 60 patients who received chemotherapy, the level of serum TSGF of 18 response patients was 61.28±6.05 u/ml,significantly lower than that of pre-chemotherapy 83.01±4.57 u/ml(P0.01);and that of 6 patients who failed to respond to chemotherapy was 86.51±5.82 u/ml,higher than that of pre-chemotherapy 65.76±5.92 u/ml(P0.01).Conclusion The serum TSGF is a sensitive, specific, accurate and broad-spectrum new tumor marker. It has clinical significance for diagnosis of digestive malignant tumor and judgment of curative effect and prognosis.
