The application of Rhodopseudomonas palustris PS1 on purifying waste water from intensive shrimp culture

Photosynthetic bacteria Rhodopseudomonas palustris PS1 was used for purifying waste water from intensive shrimp culture,and its purifying effects on NH4+-N2,NO3--N,PO43--P and COD in waste water were studied under different temperatures and concentrations of PS1.The results showed that the concentrations of COD,NH4+-N,NO3--N and PO43--P all decreased in a certain extent,but that of NO2--N increased continually;the optimum temperature for purifying effects of PS1 was 26 ℃.There were significant differences between water quality parameters in different PS1 concentration groups.However,taking the comprehensive purifying effects into consideration,the optimum bacteria concentration of PS1 for purifying waste water was 12.5×105CFU/ml.
