The study and application on techniques of eco- sanitation with urine Diversion

Objective The theory and practice on ecological sanitation were initiated to improve rural environmental sanitation in favor of developing recycle economics.Methods Collection technique of excreta-urine separating was adapted for waste treatment (e.g. night soil). Results The 1 090 000 sets of lavatories on eco-san with urine diversion had been promoted in 16 provinces and cities by the end of 2003. Conclusion The application on excreta-urine separating is a new and appropriate technique for solving night soil harmless for use safety. It is an economic and efficient approach to control common infectious diseases of intestinal parasite. It is a practice of the theory on ecological sanitation.
