Research on the decontamination effect of plywood detoxicator on contaminations from artificial plywood

Objective To Research the decontamination effect of plywood detoxicator on contaminations from plywood such as formaldehyde.Methods Formaldehyde,benzene,dimethylbenzene,ammonia were detected and evaluated and acute inhalation toxicity tests were done in accordance with the criterion for indoor environmental pollution control of civil building engineering(GB50325-2001) and hygienic standard by ministry of health.Results Plywood detoxicator belonged to actual nontoxic product,the decontamination rates of it for the formaldehyde released from three-ply,five-ply and woodblock were all above 75%,and the decontamination rate for the formaldehyde released in spots was 62.9%,which was the lowest.Conclusion The releasing control and decontamination effects of plywood detoxicator on contaminations from plywood such as formaldehyde are significant.
