Analysis on quality of purifying agents of poly aluminium chloride in 2010-2014 in a certain city

Objective To know the quality of purifying agents used or produced in the city,and provide foundation for strengthening the health supervision. Methods From 2010 to 2014 the samples of purifying agents of poly aluminium Chloride in city centralized water supply plant and water processing agent used in factory were collected and they were detected and estimated according to the standard of Poly Aluminium Chloride for Treatment of Drinking Water( GB15892- 2009)and the results were statistical analyzed. Results 432 samples were collected,and the qualified rate was 96. 22%. The qualified rate of the purifying agents used by waterworks was 96. 10%,and the rate of the purifying agents produced by factory was 97. 37%. The qualified rates of the 5 years were 93. 97%,100. 00%,84. 31%,98. 96% and 100. 00%. The qualified rates of the test items were 100%( p H),100%( Cd),100%( Cr6 +),99. 52%( As),99. 29%( Hg),99. 05%( Pb),99. 05%( insoluble matter) and 98. 81%( Al2O3). Conclusion In the past 5 years,the quality of purifying agents are roughly good,the main problem is the disqualification of Al2O3 and the heavy metals of some samples which exceeding standard. It means the purifying agents are generally used safely and healthfully for treatment of drinking water in the city.
