Investigation on contamination and drug resistant gene detection of Legionella from public central air-conditioning systems in Tonghua

Objective To study Legionella pollution situation of central air conditioning system in Tonghua,provide the reference for the research of airborne disease monitoring technology. Methods The condensation water of the central air conditioning in some public places in Tonghua county was randomly selected to isolate and identify the strains and drug resistance gene detection. Results 8 strains of Lp were detected in 37 samples of condensed water from central air conditioning,including 6 strains of Lp1 type,2 strains of Lp5,and the detection rate was 21. 6%( 8 /37). Six of 8 primers of resistant genes were found: bla_(TEM),bla_(SHV),bla_(CTX-M group1),bla_(CTX- M- 2),bla_(CTX- M group9),aac( 6)- ib- cr. Conclusion Legionella exists in central air- conditioning condensate of public in Tonghua,and the isolates potential exists resistance,it should be highly valued by the relevant departments.
