Effect of ginseng rana compound soft capsule swimming glucose metabolism in mice

Objective To explore effects of ginseng rana compound soft capsule on glucose metabolism in mice swim and its impact on the athletic ability of mice and its mechanism. Methods The ICR mice were randomly divided into four groups: control group and ginseng rana compound soft capsule of high,medium and low-dose group,gavage 30 d,after the last gavage 30 min. All mice were swimming test and analysis of serum urea nitrogen,liver glycogen and blood lactic acid were detected by experiment. Results The loading swimming time of mice in high-dose group was longer than of control group,with significant difference( P 0. 05). Without swimming conditions,the mice in high-dose group showed lower the serum urea nitrogen and blood lactic acid content than of control groups( P 0. 05). Compared to control group,mice in the high-dose group and medium-dose group with increased the liver glycogen content had significant difference( P 0. 05). Conclusion There is an effect of ginseng rana compound soft capsule on alleviating physical fatigue in swimming mice.
