Occupational disease hazards present situation analysis in spinning workshop of a chemical plant

Objective To identify the occupational hazards in the process of production in the spinning workshop of a chemical plant,define the hazards extent for workers health and analyze the occupational-disease-inductive status. Methods Occupational health field survey,check list,inspection and testing were used for qualitative and quantitative analysis and evaluation. Results Harmful factors in the plant were noise,high temperature,formaldehyde,sulfuric acid,sodium hydroxide,potassium dichromate,etc,in the 21 points of the tested workplaces noise,the strength were58. 9-89. 8 d B( A),three points were greater than 85 d B( A) noise,21 workers on 7 profession had noise test individually,level of LEX,8Hof 3 workers on 1 profession were more than the national standard requirements; high temperature WBGT index complied with the requirement of national standard; formaldehyde concentration in 0. 87-3. 03 mg/m~3 were overweight,sodium hydroxide,potassium dichromate( Cr) was not detected,sulfuric acid concentration was 0. 36-1. 90 mg/m~3. Conclusion The risk of occupational hazards in the workshop is classified as serious,and the current situation of occupational hazards is not optimistic. It is necessary to strengthen the management,increase the technical control measures to improve the status quo.
