Application of microbial membrane BOD rapid determination method in water quality monitoring in the Yellow River

Objective To explore whether the microbial membrane BOD rapid determination method could be used in BOD monitoring of water body in the Yellow River. Methods Selecting the surface water of the Yellow River,the reliability and stability of the method were verified in the actual monitoring work by comparing with the experimental results of the rapid determination method of the microbial membrane BOD and the traditional dilution inoculation method. Results There was no significant difference in determination of different kinds of water samples by two methods( P 0. 05),the method was accurate and reliable. Conclusion Results show that the method has the characteristics of high speed and high accuracy,it is suitable for BOD monitoring in the water body of the Yellow River Basin.
