Evaluation of uncertainty in determination of volatile phenol in the water by spectrophotometry and the deep discussion of uncertainty

Objective To discuss uncertainty of volatile phenol deeply. Methods According to JJF 1059. 1-2012 evaluation and expression of uncertainty in measurement and determination method of volatile phenol in the drinking water,a mathematical model was established,the sources of uncertainty were analyzed,the uncertainty components were quantified,the water sample and the environmental reference material of the combined standard uncertainty were assessed. Results Through the traceability of the standard value and uncertainty of the environmental reference material,the measuring result of the sample could be traceable to the national standard,and ensured that the measurement result of the sample was accurate and reliable. Conclusion The average value of volatile phenol is 57. 2 μg/L,and the average value of volatile phenol is satisfactory. The results of 57. 6 μg/L,Z = 0. 13. It shows that the reasoning of uncertainty is established,UY=UHY= 1. 9 μg/L may be reasonable.
