Evaluation on control effect of occupational hazards about a new project of annual output for 200 thousand tons stainless steel in Liaoning

Objective To evaluate the control effect of occupational hazards on a new project of stainless steel production.Methods The comprehensive evaluation was based on occupational health investigation and field test results.Results All of the overall layout,production process and equipment layout,building hygiene,protective facilities for occupational diseases,emergency rescue,auxiliary rooms basically met the relevant national standards. But in the furnace,feeding,slag,casting machine,and gas generator,the time-weighted average concentration of workers exposed to dust exceeded the corresponding occupational exposure limits,were 8.2,8.5,1.3( silicon dust),8.7 and 4.9 mg/m3( dust); In the mixing,burning machine,furnace,slag,8 h equivalent continuous A noise level were 88.9,88.5,92.5,94.2,89.0 d B( A),exceeding the occupational exposure limit of 85 d B( A).Conclusion With normal operation of protective facilities of occupational hazards,good personal protection measures,complete implementation of management systems of occupational health and the recommendations from the report of control effect on occupational hazards,the control effect of occupational hazards is basically qualified,and the field acceptance of protective facilities of occupational hazards can be performed.
