Studies on Main Barrier Factors of Soils and Adjustment in Tobacco Growing Area in Fujian

The results of the principal component analysis on 22 soils of tobacco growing area in Fujian showed that main factors affecting tobacco growth were clay,acidity,the deficiency of phosphorus and potassium. It is found that seeding growing could be promoted and luxuriant growth period could be shifted to an earlier time by way of improving the aerate condition of soils. By applying suitable line in strong acid soil,the concentration of harmful matters could be reduced and environment condition of tobacco seedling roots growth improved and the scope of tobacco roots absorbing nutrients expanded. Through covering plastic film and separating layer in applying fertilizers,the amount of nutrients leached was reduced,temperature of top layer of soil was rised and tobacco plants growed healthfully,tobacco yield was increased by 225~300 kg/ha and the output value 900~1275 yuan/ha.Applying N 135 kg/ha and m(N): m(P2O5 ):m (K2O) =1: 1: 2 in middle fertility of soil was the best treatment combination.
