Objective To investigate the tritium concentration and variation of tap water in the early 1990s.Methods 442 representative samples of tap water were collected in 24 provinces, for analyzing tritium concentration by standard method. The variation tendencies of tritium concentration with latitude, longitude and time were processed with MS Office software. Results Tritium representative values for tap water are established and their variations are obtained. Conclusions The tritium concentrations of tap water nearly decreased to their bottom in early 1990s, and still decrease with time. The concentrations are changed lineally with latitude and longitude, and exponentially with time.
